Prepping a batt to spin into yarn. Batts are large square or rectangular sheets of fiber ready to spin, but they are a little easier to work with in smaller sections. One way is tearing off thin strips as needed, or this method which leaves the strips connected at the ends forming a continuous roving. This batt is made of Merino wool and Mohair locks from Timothy.
