Jul 22, 2004 · I had assumed that new playlists created on the iPod would automatically transfer (as they do on my kids' Nanos) but that is not the case, and as I mentioned, not only do they not automatically transfer, but they disappear, UNLESS ... you click on the Sync button with the iPod connected. When you do that, the playlists magically appear.

Oct 8, 2005. #2. Step 1- Pry off the slider on the back, it will pop right off. Step 2- Wedge a razor or something sharp into the bottom where the usb input is. You will hear the adhesive cracking, that is good not bad. Step 3- CAREFULLY pry/pull out the usb connector (there is a pretty short cable that can rip out of the socket if not careful)
