The Special Operations Task Group (SOG) answers directly to the Supreme Commander and the Director Special Forces. The unit, combined with the Special Forces Command (SFL), comprises the Swedish Armed Forces Special Forces (FM SF).

The Special Forces Command is organized to be able to command operations of Swedish special forces units, but also to lead production of special forces operations and to be able to develop units, capabilities and equipment.

The Special Operations Task Group is a core unit of the Sweden’s special forces, providing unique and unconventional capabilities to achieve strategic goals. Personnel are specially selected, trained and equipped for physically, psychologically and politically demanding situations.
