Mar 17, 2024 · Rodeo Hall of Fame bullfighter Leon Coffee has been a barrel man at RODEOHOUSTON for 31 years. The beloved rodeo clown wants the world to know he is not done yet. “I ain’t going anywhere,” Coffee said. “Everybody thought I was quitting…I’m just changing positions,” Coffee stated.

Coffee won PRCA Clown of the Year in 1983 and was in the top three every year from 1984-2001. Coffee also worked at the first National Circuit Finals Rodeo in 1987, the Texas Circuit Finals Rodeo (1980-82, 1992, 1996-97, 2003-04) and the Canadian Finals Rodeo twice (1985-86).

Leon Coffee was named PRCA Clown of the Year in 1983 and has continued to be honored for his humor by being one of the top three candidates for Clown of the Year from 1984-2001. In February 2004, Leon was inducted into the Texas Rodeo Cowboy Hall of Fame in Belton, Texas, for his more than thirty (30) years of service to the rodeo industry.
