US President Donald Trump signed pardons Thursday for 23 anti-abortion protesters whom the White House said were prosecuted under his predecessor Joe Biden's administration.

Trump’s pardons have drawn criticism from abortion rights advocates, who argue the move reflects his strong opposition to abortion access.

The president signed the pardons on the day before the March for Life to be held in Washington, D.C., according to the Thomas More Society.
