American satellite television provider DirecTV is arguing there are still antitrust concerns around the planned launch of joint-venture streamer Venu Sports, despite the fact Disney and Fubo resolved their legal dispute earlier this week.

In a letter to U.S. District Judge Margaret Garnett, who granted Fubo a preliminary injunction that blocked Venu’s launch earlier this year, DirecTV said that the settlement restores “an anticompetitive runway” for the joint venture to control the future of the live pay TV market.

DirecTV's challenge marks the latest development in a battle between media companies for dominance in the pay TV market. FuboTV sued the three media giants behind Venu in February, claiming the sports streaming venture would reduce competition and increase prices for consumers. The deal was temporarily blocked by a U.S. judge in August.
