Texas will join a growing list of college football programs doing away with traditional spring games in favor of a slightly restructured practice slate, coach Steve Sarkisian said during a recent appearance on the "Up & Adams Show.

In another sign of college football's transformation, Texas and USC have joined Nebraska in canceling their spring games. "No, we're not going to have a spring game," Texas coach Sarkisian told Kay Adams on the "Up & Adams Show" podcast Thursday.

Texas Tech football made a big splash in the December transfer portal. Don't be surprised if Joey McGuire tries to add a little more impact in April.
