A Tennessee man was lying in bed early Monday morning when his dog accidentally shot at him. According to the Memphis Police Department, officers responded to an accidental injury call just before 4 am in the 700 block of Whitney Avenue.

Reportedly, when the police arrived at the scene, they found the dog and the victim, but the weapon was missing. The man said his friend took the gun.

The man alleges his dog "jumped on the bed and got his paw stuck in the trigger guard and ended up hitting the trigger," per the Memphis Police Department
