A man accused of shooting another man to death inside a Lawrence bar on Christmas Eve fled to Mexico after the killing, where he was captured last month by the U.S. Marshals Service, prosecutors announced Friday.

Franklin Laras of Lawrence, Massachusetts, was arrested in Mexico about nine months after allegedly shot 29-year-old Edward Javier-Perez to death at the Energy Lounge.
