Dakota Johnson, daughter of actors Melanie Griffith and Don Johnson, offers a candid critique of Hollywood's preference for sequels and remakes despite audiences wanting new experiences.

"When something does well, studios want to keep that going so they remake the same things, but humans don't want that," the actress says.

Dakota Johnson explained why she thinks that Hollywood is a "mess" and "risk-averse" during a June 12 appearance on 'Hot Ones,' saying, 'I think it’s hard when creative decisions are made by committee and it’s hard when creative decisions are made by people who don’t even really watch movies.
