Auburn freshman wide receiver Cam Coleman is expected to play on Saturday against Arkansas, per ESPN’s Pete Thamel. Coleman didn’t play in Auburn’s Week 3 win over New Mexico after suffering a shoulder injury in Auburn’s 21-14 loss to California on Sept.

Auburn football got a positive update on one of their big weapons on the outside ahead of their matchup with Arkansas.

The Tigers were without starters Cam Coleman, Izavion Miller and Kayin Lee against New Mexico. Hugh Freeze said after the game that they were making a point of trying to get players healthy.

Wide receiver Cam Coleman and offensive tackle Izavion Miller are the newest Tigers on injury watch, cornerback and punt returner Keionte Scott is still nursing a leg injury as well. There is no update on kicker Alex McPherson who has been dealing with an illness all summer.

Originally, Freeze classified both players as “questionable,” and indicated Coleman was more likely to play in Week 3 than Miller. However, Freeze stated on his radio show on Monday that Coleman has a Grade II shoulder sprain and is “doubtful” to play this weekend.

When the Auburn Tigers take the field vs. the New Mexico Lobos on Saturday night from Jordan-Hare Stadium, they’ll do so without the gem of their 2024 recruiting class as freshman receiver Cam Coleman doesn’t appear available for action.
