Images were released recently from the set of “Happy Gilmore 2,” which began filming in September. The long-awaited sequel from Adam Sandler’s original movie from 1996 will debut in 2025 on Netflix, and it features plenty of familiar faces from nearly three decades ago.

The cast of Adam Sandler’s highly anticipated Happy Gilmore sequel only continues to grow. Not only is Sandler reprising his role for the sequel, which is currently in production at Netflix, but he’s being joined by original co-stars Julie Bowen and Christopher McDonald.

Ben Stiller, who played the character in the 1996 comedy “ Happy Gilmore ,” has returned as Hal in “ Happy Gilmore 2 ,” now filming in New Jersey. Stiller, 58, filmed with Sandler at Roosevelt Elementary School in Kearny Friday morning.

Earlier this year, Netflix confirmed fans' hopes that "Happy Gilmore 2" was indeed in the works. In September, Netflix announced that the film was in production. Since the announcement, fans of the original movie have been speculating as to which iconic characters will reprise their role for the sequel.
