The Dolphins have addressed their biggest need of free agency, with the addition of Daniels, a quality player. Before the injury - and, yes, of course its' a concern - Daniels was graded by Pro Football Focus as the second-best guard in the NFL, at 92.9.

Guard James Daniels has agreed to terms with the AFC East club. Per multiple reports, it is a three-year, $24 million deal in Miami. Daniels was a 2018 second-round pick in Chicago and he signed a three-year deal with the Steelers in 2022.

The Miami Dolphins need to address their offensive line. On day one of the 2025 free agency period, they have done just that.

The Dolphins are signing Daniels, per NFL.com’s Tom Pelissero. It is a three-year, $24MM deal, according to NFL.com’s Ian Rapoport. This comes in just south of Daniels’ Steelers contract, but the seven-year veteran is coming off a major injury.
