There are three teams of interest for the Bills in the AFC playoff picture: the Chiefs, Pittsburgh Steelers and Baltimore Ravens. They all play on Christmas Day. The games will give Buffalo clarity on its seeding possibilities and whether to rest starters in the final two regular season games.

The five-time defending AFC East champion Buffalo Bills are in position to shore up the conference’s No. 2 seed entering the playoffs in hosting the New York Jets on Sunday

Buffalo remains in sole possession of the No. 2 seed in the AFC. Pittsburgh and Baltimore are each two games back at 10-5. One of those teams will win the AFC North, and one will be a wild card and guaranteed to be behind the Bills for playoff seeding.

The Bills can clinch the No. 2 seed with a win against the Jets. That would give Buffalo flexibility on how to approach Week 18. The Bills could opt rest some of their starters and banged-up players for all or part of the regular season finale.
