Bristol Public Schools were back in session on Monday after an unexpected closure. Friday, the district joined a growing list of schools that were forced to close due to social media threats. Ansonia was among them.

Bridgeport Public Schools are prepared to reopen Monday with wht they say are comprehensive measures to ensurethe safety and well-being of students and staff. This comes after Friday’s closure due to a threat last week.

In response to recent threats made towards the district, safety measures include a "strong police presence" at the schools and emergency response plans.
