Security experts are sounding the alarm that negotiations for a ceasefire in Ukraine are not only unlikely to happen in the near future, but there is a lack of clarity on what a deal may even entail.

On the third anniversary of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, the U.N. General Assembly is expected to vote on dueling resolutions from the U.S. and Ukraine to end the war, which started in 2022.
