The former Texas Longhorn quarterback is moving to Fort Worth to open an office for commercial real estate firm HPI after an NFL career.

FORT WORTH, Texas-- ( BUSINESS WIRE )--HPI, a Texas-based full-service real estate firm, announces Colt McCoy, former University of Texas and NFL quarterback, will launch the company’s new Fort Worth office.

The former NFL quarterback and Texas Longhorns star will start by building out the office's industrial leasing practice. He expects to have a 12-person team in place by the end of 2025.

The former UT and NFL star—recently seen in a Progressive insurance commercial parodying his role as a backup quarterback—called HPI "an established, first-class organization with nearly 30 million square feet and almost four decades of success in the Texas real estate market.

Colt McCoy is well known throughout Texas and by college football fans for his tenure at the University of Texas from 2005 to 2009.

Colt McCoy was one of the winningest college football quarterbacks of all time prior to a long NFL career. "I have had this itch and desire to run my own team and do something a little bit different," he says.
