A Netflix sequel to Adam Sandler’s hit 1996 film briefly recaptures the warm silliness of the original, before devolving into a lazy fever dream of cameos.

Happy Gilmore 2 was released on July 25, 2025, on Netflix. The movie, which is directed by Kyle Newacheck, has Adam Sandler playing Happy Gilmore again. Happy goes back to the golf course after almost three decades.

Boyce played Keithie Feder, son of Sandler’s character Lenny Feder, in “Grown Ups” and “Grown Ups 2.” Both movies were directed by original “Happy Gilmore” director Dennis Dugan. Sandler and “ Happy Gilmore 2 ″ director Kyle Newacheck filmed the sequel in New Jersey last fall.
