OpenAI said it implemented a basket of different measures to stop its AI tools from being used for deceptive or harmful purposes ahead of the 2024 election.

OpenAI estimates that ChatGPT rejected more than 250,000 requests to generate images of the 2024 U.S. presidential candidates in the lead up to Election Day, the company said in a blog on Friday.

OpenAI said in a blog post that ChatGPT also turned over 2 million people onto other websites for poll-related news and information on election day and the following day.
