Paige Bueckers and Gabby Williams made their WNBA All-Star debuts last weekend in Indianapolis. The two former UConn women’s basketball stars not only took part in the fun antics of Saturday’s All-Star game but also took time to speak to reporters about their journey and what’s important to them in the league’s current CBA negotiations.

Dallas Wings rookie sensation Paige Bueckers took part in her first WNBA All-Star Game last weekend, getting the start for Team Napheesa Collier, a fellow UConn Husky. They took home the win 151-131 over Team Caitlin Clark (who missed the game due to injury),

One of those shots, however, was a doozy. In the first quarter Bueckers lined herself up in the 4-point shot circle, added special to the All-Star Game. Twenty-eight feet from the basket, Bueckers took a pass and drilled the game’s first four-point bucket.

But her welcome to the WNBA moment aside, Paige Bueckers has transitioned to the league quite well during her rookie season with the Wings. She was one of three rookies who were selected to the All-Star team this season, joining Kiki Iriafen and Sonia Citron of the Washington Mystics.

It’s long been rumored, but only in the past month has it become quasi-official that Dallas Wings star Paige Bueckers is in a relationship with her former teammate at Connecticut, Azzi Fudd.
