Metallica to play Syracuse concert for first time in nearly 30 years
An iconic metal band is coming to Syracuse for the first time in nearly 30 years. Metallica will perform at the JMA Wireless Dome on the Syracuse University campus on Saturday, April 19, 2025, as part of the band’s M72 world tour dates. Special guests Pantera and Suicidal Tendencies will open up the show at 6 p.m.

Tickets go on sale to the general public Friday, Friday, Sept. 27 at 10 a.m. via Ticketmaster. Presale tickets went on sale Monday morning to Metallica fan club members (Legacy and Fifth Club members) with prices starting at $78 (additional fees may apply); VIP packages cost $540 or more, according to Live Nation.
