Brian Kelly and the LSU Tigers are set to hire Baylor's Keava Soil-Cormier to the 2025 staff in an NIL-related role within the athletic department, 247Sports Matt Zenitz reported on Thursday night. Soil-Cormier previously worked on the LSU staff as the Assistant Director of Recruiting Operations for the football program.

Atkins, a Chicago native and former offensive guard at UT-Martin, has spent most of his career as an offensive line coach. He oversaw the position at Chattanooga, Georgia Southern, Tulane and Charlotte before he joined Florida State’s staff in 2020. Atkins coached tight ends once before in 2008 at UT-Martin.

Former Florida State offensive line coach Alex Atkins is being considered for a job at Louisiana State University with their offensive staff, per Matt Zenitz of CBS Sports. FSU head coach Mike Norvell fired OC Atkins alongside now-former defensive coordinator Adam Fuller and now-former wide receivers coach Ron Dugans in November following a humiliating loss to Notre Dame.

LSU football filled the lone vacancy on its coaching staff, hiring Alex Atkins as run game coordinator and tight ends coach. Atkins comes to LSU after spending four years at Florida State. He served as the Seminoles offensive coordinator in 2023 and 2024.
