HBO has officially announced the commencement of the production of the much-anticipated reboot of J. K. Rowling’s globally renowned wizard novels, Harry Potter series. On July 14, 2025, the channel took to its Instagram handle to reveal the final cast of the series.

Set for a release in 2027, the show is being led by showrunner Francesca Gardiner and director Mark Mylod. The rest of the cast includes John Lithgow as Albus Dumbledore, Janet McTeer as Minerva McGonagall, Paapa Essiedu as Severus Snape, Nick Frost as Rubeus Hagrid, Luke Thallon as Quirinus Quirrell, and Paul Whitehouse as Argus Filch.
