The Los Angeles Lakers have seen games against the Charlotte Hornets and San Antonio Spurs postponed as a result of the wildfires that have ravaged the area. Now, the Spurs will be one of the first teams to take part in a Los Angeles sporting event since the wildfires started,

On Saturday, the San Antonio Spurs traveled to southern California for the first of two games against the Los Angeles Lakers. The game was ultimately postponed by the NBA due to concerns about the event making managing the wildfires that are ravaging the area harder to fight.

Victor Wembanyama had 23 points and eight rebounds, Harrison Barnes scored 10 of his 17 points in the fourth quarter, and the San Antonio Spurs beat the Lakers 126-102 in Los Angeles’ first game back from two postponements due to the wildfires devastating the area.

After having five full days off due to the wildfires in the Los Angeles area, the Lakers seemed to sink themselves into quicksand against the Spurs.

Like most Lakers fans, head coach JJ Redick was very unhappy with his team's defense in its 126-102 loss to the Spurs on Monday.
