It appears hyped running back Ezekiel Elliott won’t make his Los Angeles Chargers debut during the NFL playoff game against the Houston Texans this weekend.

The Chargers will not elevate Ezekiel Elliott from the practice squad when Los Angeles faces the Houston Texans in Saturday's AFC wild-card round game. The veteran running back was signed to the practice squad on Tuesday and had three practices.

The Los Angeles Chargers added Ezekiel Elliott before their Wild Card showdown in Houston, but won't activate the former Dallas Cowboys running back.

The Chargers decided not to move Elliott up, instead promoting Jaret Patterson for the Wild Card game against the Texans. Elliott spent the 2023 season with the New England Patriots in a reserve role and then came back to the Cowboys, the team that drafted him at No. 4 overall in 2016.
