Even though the exhibition game between the Tigers and Blue Jays was canceled due to the steady rains that fell on central Florida on Monday, it was still a full work day for the Tigers players.

The Detroit Tigers were still able to get in all of their work on Monday thanks to the new roofs that keep the players from getting wet.

According to Sportsnet's Ben Nicholson-Smith, Kevin Gausman is slated to throw a 30- to 35-pitch live batting practice session before getting into spring games. On Friday, Blue Jays manager John Schneider told reporters that Gausman will likely slide into Lucas's spot in the spring rotation when he is ready.

Following that season, Barnes spent two separate stints with the Tigers during the 2022 season. He started the season with the team, was released in June, then returned in July for a another month stretch. Barnes made 22 appearances and pitched 20 2/3 innings between the two stings.
