Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu ordered a judicial investigation into the incident that took place on Wednesday.

A stampede at the Lord Venkateswara temple in Tirupati, Andhra Pradesh, resulted in six deaths as thousands jostled for tickets to a major religious event.

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu on Thursday visited the stampede spot in Tirupati that claimed the lives of six devotees and pulled up officials for failing to make proper arrangements for the distribution of tokens.

The officials who were responsible for this including the DSP Sri Raman Kumar, In-charge of that point SV Gosala Director Dr Harinath Reddy have been suspended while JEO Goutami, SP Sri Subbarayudu and CVSO Sri Sridhar have been transfered.
