October SSI Payments: Millions of people will receive their Supplemental Security Income payment for October on October 1st, up to a maximum of $943. The Social Security Administration states that eligible U.S. citizens who have severe disabilities that limit their income are awarded SSI payments.

The Social Security Administration (SSA) distributes benefit payments to millions of Americans every month—but given the sheer number of beneficiaries, not everyone is paid on the same date. These benefits include retirement, disability and survivor benefits, with around $1.5 trillion expected to be paid out throughout this year.
