Wells Enterprises, the company that produces Blue Bunny and Halo Top ice cream, has recalled nearly 18,000 containers of ice cream and frozen yogurt due to batches possibly containing pieces of plastic.

Well Enterprises, the maker of Blue Bunny, Halo Top and more, has recalled over 17,000 tubs of 3-gallon ice cream products over concerns about the presence of plastic.

According to an enforcement report published by the FDA, Wells Enterprises, which produces Wells Dairy products, issued a voluntary recall of 22 flavors of frozen desserts in their portfolio. The FDA's report states that the Iowa-based company commenced its recall on April 25 and was classified in the organization's system on Wednesday, May 14.
