Neighbors in one Miami neighborhood were shaken up after FBI agents conducted an overnight raid on a luxury home.

FBI agents descended on a Miami home Wednesday night to serve warrants and search, authorities say. The FBI was “conducting court ordered law enforcement activity,” special agent Willie Creech said. Miami officers also were in the area of Northeast 83rd Street and North Bayshore Drive to assist the FBI,, said police spokeswoman Kiara Delva.

A 20-year-old man and his co-conspirator have been charged with conspiracy to steal and launder over US$230 million in cryptocurrency, and federal authorities said the arrests are connected to an FBI raid of a mansion in Miami.

Miami-Dade police assisted the FBI in a raid overnight in the area of Northeast 83rd Street and North Bayshore Drive.

Miami police said a few of their units were at the scene at NE 83rd Street and N Bayshore Drive for support purposes. It was not immediately clear what the warrants were for, or how many potential people were detained.
