Draymond Green of the Golden State Warriors is not the 2024-25 Defensive Player of the Year, but he got a consolation prize of sorts the day after he found out that he'd finished third. Green is the winner of this season's Hustle Award,

The Warriors forward was announced on Friday as winner of the 2024-25 NBA Hustle Award. The award, which was first given out in 2016-17, “honors players who make the effort plays that don’t often appear in the traditional box score but impact winning on a nightly basis,” according to the NBA.

The Golden State Warriors are attempting to climb back to the top of the NBA standings behind Draymond Green, Stephen Curry and Jimmy Butler. Curry and Green have already helped Golden State win four NBA titles during their tenure with the organization, but 2025 gives them another chance to add to their resume.
