Raiders coach Antonio Pierce announced the decision Wednesday morning as the team began preparations for the Dolphins at their Henderson headquarters.

The Las Vegas Raiders enjoyed a much-needed bye week during the NFL’s Week 10. After dropping their fifth in a row with a 41-24 loss at Cincinnati, the Raiders got an extended break to ponder what exactly has gone wrong and how they can fix it.

Minshew is completing a career-high 67% of his passes, but he has eight interceptions and just six touchdowns. He also has lost four fumbles, tied with Baltimore's Lamar Jackson and Philadelphia's Jalen Hurts for most in the NFL.

As they come off their Week 10 bye, the Raiders won’t be switching their starting quarterback. Head coach Antonio Pierce said in his Wednesday press conference that Minshew will remain the team’s starter for Sunday’s game against the Dolphins.
