The Athletics acquired catcher Austin Wynns from the Cincinnati Reds for cash on Sunday. In another move announced Sunday, the Milwaukee Brewers claimed outfielder Drew Avans off waivers from the Athletics and assigned him to their Triple-A Nashville affiliate.
