Trump administration says it's halting offshore wind projects, citing national security risks
Secretary of the Interior Doug Burgum said the agency is pausing leases for five offshore wind farms "due to national security concerns."

On Wednesday at 10:53 a.m. an updated wind advisory was issued by the National Weather Service in effect until 4 p.m. for John Day Basin and Central Oregon.
Citing national security concerns, the Trump administration suspended leases for five offshore wind projects on Monday.
The President Donald Trump administration announced it would pause the leases of five offshore wind farms being built on the East Coast.
"Wind and solar energy infrastructure is essentially worthless when it is dark outside, and when the wind is not blowing," the U.S. Energy Department posted on social media.

On Tuesday at 11:06 a.m. an updated high wind warning was issued by the National Weather Service valid from 10 p.m. until Wednesday 4 p.m. for Klamath Basin, Northern and Eastern Klamath County and Western Lake County and Central and Eastern Lake County.
IF some of the stronger wind forecasts are correct, this will be a devastating wind storm in the Willamette Valley and at least parts of Portland metro area. We’ll hope that’s not the case
