South Carolina Baseball hosted Sacred Heart in game two of the series on Saturday afternoon at Ray Tanner Field at Founders Park. Today’s festivities began as the field was officially dedicated to former South Carolina Head Coach and AD Ray Tanner.

COLUMBIA – Matthew Becker and Ryder Garino combined to strike out 13 batters and allow just one hit and the University of South Carolina baseball team plated runs in five of its six frames in a 14-0, 7-inning win over Sacred Heart Saturday afternoon (Feb. 15) at Ray Tanner Field at Founders Park.

Mainieri and the Gamecocks beat Sacred Heart 5-3 on Opening Day on Friday at Founders Park, scoring runs in the seventh and eighth innings after the MAAC squad from Connecticut tied the game in the sixth.
