Oil prices settled down more than $1 a barrel on Tuesday at a four-year low as investors priced in an increasing likelihood of a recession due to the escalating trade war between the U.S. and China, the world's two biggest economies.

Shares of oil companies have dropped sharply in recent days. Growth fears and expectations of more supply from OPEC+ are pressuring crude prices.

WTI crude oil (CLK25) today is down -1.11 (-1.79%), and May RBOB gasoline (RBK25) is down -0.0210 (-1.02%). Crude oil and gasoline prices today are sliding for a third session, with crude falling to a 4-year low and gasoline dropping to a 6-week low.
