The league phase of the 2024/25 UEFA Champions League comes to a conclusion this week as teams battle for those coveted places in the next round. After last week's games, only Liverpool and Barcelona are absolutely assured of a place in the Round of 16 - although Arsenal are also practically there - leaving at least five more byes to the next round up for grabs.

The UEFA Champions League returns Jan. 21 after a break that lasted over a month. Barcelona and Liverpool headline Tuesday's action.

It's going to be a wild day of soccer as Wednesday will see 18 Champions League matches kick off simultaneously. As the league phase comes to an end, all of those matches, except two, will have a direct impact on who makes it into the playoff stage and who is on the outside looking in.
