Asked on WEEI Afternoons about speculation that Josh McDaniels may have been a Robert and Jonathan Kraft hire and not a Mike Vrabel hire, ESPN NFL insider Adam Schefter cleared things up, saying definitively that Vrabel hired McDaniels.

After naming Josh McDaniels their offensive coordinator, Mike Vrabel and the Patriots have found their defensive coordinator.

The Patriots did not disclose terms, but sources told ESPN's Adam Schefter that Vrabel and New England agreed to a multiyear contract. The team confirmed the hiring Sunday morning, announcing Vrabel as the 16th head coach in franchise history.
