NEW YORK — Luis Torrens hit a three-run homer and matched his career high with five RBIs as the New York Mets overcame an early three-run deficit and beat the Philadelphia Phillies 13-3 on Monday night in a matchup of the top teams in the NL East.
Ahead of Monday’s series opener against the Phillies, the Mets opted to bench Mullins and start Taylor in center field.
