A NASA map shows the regions across the Northern Hemisphere where this weekend's partial solar eclipse will be visible, how much of the sun will be blocked out, and what time the eclipse will hit its peak.

The eclipse was visible Saturday across Europe, western Africa, eastern North America and northern Asia. During a partial solar eclipse, the moon passes between the sun and Earth. The moon casts a shadow on Earth and only partly blocks the sun,
