MINNEAPOLIS — An arctic blast arrived in Minnesota on Monday, bringing frigid temperatures and bitter wind chills. Highs across the state will be in the single digits, and even colder in spots.

America is facing a week of ‘weather whiplash’ with roller-coaster temperatures soaring to summer-like highs before plunging.

Temperatures will slowly rise toward climate-normal levels this week. But another strong arctic cold front will blast through on Saturday.

Officials with the New Orleans Fire Department were made aware of a fire at the former Six Flags site in New Orleans East on Saturday, Jan. 18.
