Yankees manager Aaron Boone says he doesn’t want his players to behave in the same manner as some Dodgers players did after L.A. beat N.Y. in the World Series.

After the Yankees fell to the Dodgers in the 2024 World Series, manager Aaron Boone had some comments on how certain L.A. players celebrated the win.

The New York Yankees manager Boone took a swipe at the Dodgers in an interview with ESPN’s Jeff Passan this week. Boone said that he took exception to a handful of Dodgers making shady public remarks about his team in the wake of 2024 World Series and indicated that it showed a lack of “class.”

Boone suggested there have been preliminary talks about a contract extension, but nothing is yet finalized. Hal Steinbrenner recently told the YES Network that he anticipates working out an extension for Boone, currently in the final guaranteed year of his deal (his 2025 option was triggered by the Yanks).

Hopefully, we're in that position next year and handle things with a little more class,' the Yankees manager said on Tuesday.
