Authorities asked for public help in their quest to find Yolanda Marodi, suspected of fatally stabbing wife Rebecca Marodi in her Ramona home.

The San Diego County Sheriff’s Department on Thursday identified the person they believe to be responsible for stabbing a Cal Fire captain to death in her Ramona home earlier this week.

The woman accused of fatally stabbing a Cal Fire captain at her Ramona home might be hiding out in Mexico, according to authorities.

The  County Sheriff’s Office said it has identified Yolanda Marodi, also known as Yolanda Olenjniczak, as a suspect.

A manhunt is on for Yolanda Marodi, the wife of a California fire captain who was stabbed to death earlier this week in her San Diego-area home.

Investigators are seeking 53-year-old Yolanda Marodi, also known as Yolanda Olejniczak, in connection with the killing of Cal Fire Capt. Rebecca Marodi, 49.

Days after a Southern California fire captain was found stabbed to death inside her home, authorities announced her wife — who was previously convicted of voluntary manslaughter — is wanted in connection with her death.

Yolanda Marodi, who is suspected in the slaying of her wife, a Cal Fire captain, pleaded guilty in 2004 to voluntary manslaughter in the fatal stabbing of her then-husband.

Rebecca Marodi was found in her San Diego-area home Monday. A woman has been identified as a suspect in her slaying, but her whereabouts are unknown.
