The Tampa Bay Lightning may be playing without a young defenseman for a couple of games after an incident during their loss to the Detroit Red Wings. The NHL Department of Player Safety has announced that 23-year-old Lightning defenseman Emil Lilleberg will have a hearing for Interference against Red Wings forward J.

Tampa Bay does everything but score against Detroit and has nothing to show for it in another loss to a division opponent.

Tampa Bay Lightning defenseman Emil Lilleberg has been suspended for two games by the NHL for a hit on Detroit Red Wings center J.T. Compher during the second period on Saturday. Compher finished the game but is experiencing some issues since. He is out for tonight’s game against the Los Angeles Kings and perhaps longer.
