Wolverhampton Wanderers boss Gary O'Neil said his team needs to learn to "fight and scrap" for wins after their hard work to take a first-half lead at Aston Villa ended in a 3-1 loss on Saturday to leave them winless in the Premier League.

Wolves ended last season with only one win from their final 10 Premier League games and are winless in four league outings in 2024-25. Nine of the 14 games stretching across the two seasons were against teams that finished in the top half in 2023-24,

Wolverhampton Wanderers were unfortunate to lose to Newcastle United. The two goals they conceded, both rasping efforts from outside the box, were difficult to prevent — but Gary O’Neil’s side have now gone 16 Premier League games without a clean sheet.
