The National Security Council is the government body formed to advise the President "on matters of national defense and shall make recommendations on such other subjects as the President may from time to time submit for study and consideration.

President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. has issued an executive order (EO) that appears to remove the vice president and former presidents from the National Security Council (NSC).

President  Marcos has ordered the reorganization of the National Security Council (NSC) to ensure that it remains resilient over evolving security and sovereignty challenges.
