A heated in-state rivalry between East Carolina and NC State in the Military Bowl led to brawl at Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium.

The East Carolina Pirates won the Military Bowl on Saturday, 26-21, over North Carolina State thanks to an 86-yard touchdown run by Rahjai Harris late in the fourth quarter. That is not what anybody is going to remember from the game.

East Carolina ends the season 8-5 after winning five of its last six games under head coach Blake Harrell. He was named the team’s permanent coach at the end of the season after he became the interim coach following the firing of Mike Houston after a 3-4 start. NC State finishes the season at 6-7.
