Snow and ice warnings are in place in several locations around the UK, with England, Wales, Northern Ireland and Scotland are all set to be affected in the coming hours

With the UK already facing travel disruptions due to significant snowfall, the Met Office has issued additional snow warnings for six more regions. Icy roads pose a concern as people return to work and school after the Christmas and New Year break,

The Met Office has also warned there is potential for further snow on Wednesday, January 6. Met Office deputy chief meteorologist, Mike Silverstone said: “There is a chance of a further spell of rain, sleet and snow moving in from the southwest on Wednesday to affect some southern parts of the UK.
