Actor Liam Cunningham has spoken out after the Gaza-bound ship from the Freedom Flotilla was intercepted by Israeli forces. Cunningham had been on hand to help load the ship before it departed Italy for Gaza in an aid mission spearheaded by activist Greta Thunberg.

The detained crew of the Gaza-bound aid ship that was intercepted by Israel on Monday morning has been taken to the Israeli port of Ashdod, according to Israel’s foreign ministry.

Israel has detained Greta Thunberg and other activists with the Freedom Flotilla Coalition (FFC), who were aboard a humanitarian aid ship the Madleen en route to Gaza when it was intercepted. The vessel is being taken to Israel and the passengers are expected to be returned to their home countries, CNN reports.
