The Dallas Cowboys have yet to make a decision on head coach Mike McCarthy's future. But that hasn't stopped the franchise from potentially stunting McCarthy's future.

Jones went on to say how impressed he’s been that the players have stood behind McCarthy during this difficult season and that he still has their ear and support. When asked where McCarthy ranks among the coaches he’s hired since purchasing the franchise, Jones referred to the NFL’s all-time list.

Mike McCarthy says he absolutely wants to return as the coach of the Dallas Cowboys. Jerry Jones has dropped multiple hints that McCarthy would be back, but the team owner was far from definitive about McCarthy’s future after a 23-19 loss to Washington finished a 7-10 season.
